LIVERPOOL have accepted an offer from Newcastle United for young midfielder Danny Guthrie.
The 21-year-old is now expected to head for Tyneside for talks and a medical, with no complications expected.
Guthrie, originally part of negotiations when the Reds were looking to sign James Milner, is thought to have cost around £2.5m.
And Liverpool spokesman, Ian Cotton, said: "We have agreed a fee with Newcastle for the transfer of Danny Guthrie. We have now given Newcastle permission to speak directly with the player."
Guthrie spent last season on loan at Bolton and when he does sign for Newcastle he will become Kevin Keegan's second signing of the summer.
