MIDDLESBROUGH duo Darragh Lenihan and Anfernee Dijksteel are preparing for summer international duty after receiving call-ups for their respective countries.

Lenihan’s reward for his impressive performances at the heart of the Boro back four this season is a recall to Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland squad.

The centre-half will hope to add to his three senior international caps when Ireland travel to Greece for a Euro 2024 qualifier on June 16 before hosting Gibraltar in Dublin on June 19.

Dijksteel has been selected in the provisional Suriname squad for next month’s Gold Cup qualification tournament in Florida.

The full-back, who made his international debut against Mexico in March, joins former Boro team-mate Yanic Wildschut in a 35-man preliminary squad for the qualifying tournament, which will Suriname join other 11 other sides competing for three spots at the Gold Cup.
