Middlesbrough, Newcastle United and Sunderland will discover their FA Cup third round opponents next Monday, it has been confirmed.

The draw for the third round will take place at Anfield between 7pm and 7.30pm and will be live on BBC Two, as well as the FA's social media channels.

Third round games will take place across the weekend of Saturday, January 7.

Hartlepool United will also be hoping to be in the draw. Keith Curle's side host League Two rivals Harrogate Town in the second round at the Suit Direct Stadium on Saturday.

Middlesbrough will be ball number 25 in the third round draw, Newcastle 27 and Sunderland 37. Hartlepool United will be ball number 54 if they win their second round tie.
