MIDDLESBROUGH return to Championship action this weekend when they take on Coventry City.

The game marks a return to the domestic calendar after the recent international break. Here is everything you need to know about the game:

Where will the game take place?

Middlesbrough are on the road this weekend for the return of the Championship schedule and are heading to the CBS arena to take on Coventry City.

It’s not been happy hunting ground for Boro in the past who have won just one out of their last six games at Coventry. Last season’s visit ended in a 2-0 defeat which compounded a slow start to Boro’s campaign.

What time is kick-off?

Kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 1st October.

Are tickets still available?

Yes. Tickets are still available for the game through the MFC website.

Is the game being shown on TV or streamed live?

You can watch the game through the club’s official live streaming service Boro Live but only if you are based internationally. 3pm kick-off's on Saturday are restricted to live streaming due to league rules.

Video passes usually start from around £10 per game and begin around 60 minutes before kick-off. A season pass, which includes international customers, is around £140. It requires you to have an MFC Digital Account.

Alternatively, highlights of the game will be published on the club’s YouTube page or will be available on the Sky Sports App.

The Northern Echo’s Digital Sports Writer Matty Jones will be at the CBS Stadium providing coverage via a live blog as well as a post-match report, ratings, reaction and analysis.

What is Middlesbrough’s line-up likely to be?

Chuba Akpom has been filmed in training with the first-team squad this week after a knee injury has kept him out for the last seven weeks. The striker is expected to be in the matchday squad for the game at the very least.

Darragh Lenihan has been continuing his recovery from a foot injury he picked up in the defeat to Watford earlier this month. It’s unknown whether he will be fit enough to make this weekend’s game.

Darnell Fisher was also pictured in training this week. However, he is not expected to be involved against Coventry as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury.

Aside from that, Boro have no other injury concerns. Josh Coburn is nearing a return to full fitness but he will then be expected to link up with Bristol Rovers for his season long loan spell.

Boro (probable) 3-5-2: Steffen; Dijksteel, Fry, Clarke; Jones, Howson, Crooks, McGree, Giles; Akpom, Muniz

How are Coventry City shaping up?

The Sky Blues have struggled for form this season and sit bottom of the table. However, the state of their football pitch has lead to numerous postponements of league games meaning they have played three games fewer than Boro.

On the injury front, they are in a race against time to get midfielder Callum O’Hare up to full fitness. He suffered a hamstring tear on the eve of the Championship campaign but is currently ahead of schedule and back in training.

Manager Mark Robins hoped that his return would come shortly after the international break but this weekend’s game almost looks certain to come too soon for O’Hare.
