SUNDERLAND return to action when they take on QPR in the Championship on Saturday afternoon (August 13).

Here are all the details of this weekend’s game…

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Saturday’s game is Sunderland’s second home of the season, and will therefore be staged at the Stadium of Light.

Having won at Bristol City last weekend, the Black Cats will be hoping to claim their first home success of the campaign following an opening-day draw with Coventry City.

Sunderland’s last meeting with QPR on Wearside came in 2017 and ended in a 1-1 draw, with Aiden McGeady scoring for the hosts.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Saturday afternoon’s game is a traditional 3pm kick-off.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

Tickets for Saturday’s game are still available via the ticketing section of Sunderland’s official website.

There are no seats available in the Roker end of the Stadium of Light, but tickets can still be purchased in the West Stand, East Stand and Carling Stand.

Tickets start at £29 for adults, £26 for Over-65s, £22 for Under-22s and £12 for Under-16s.

IS THE GAME BEING SHOWN ON TV OR STREAMED LIVE?

There is no live UK television coverage of Saturday’s game, although there will be highlights on the Football League Highlights Show on ITV 4 (9-11.05pm).

Domestic supporters cannot watch 3pm Saturday games on the SAFC Live stream, but supporters living outside the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man or Russia can access the SAFC Live stream for Saturday’s game.

Matty Jones will be in the press box at the Stadium of Light for Saturday’s game and will be providing live coverage via a blog on The Northern Echo website, as well as a post-match report, ratings and reaction.

HOW ARE SUNDERLAND LIKELY TO LINE UP?

Having changed all 11 of his players for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup first-round defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, Alex Neil is likely to make 11 changes again for Saturday’s game.

There is a good chance he will revert to the side that started last weekend’s 3-2 win at Bristol City, which would mean Ellis Simms once again partnering Ross Stewart in attack.

That, in turn, would mean Elliot Embleton once again being on the substitutes’ bench, having dropped out of the side that started against Coventry in order to accommodate Simms’ selection at Ashton Gate.

Leon Dajaku was unavailable on Wednesday because of a minor strain, but could be available to return to the squad against QPR.

Sunderland (probable, 3-4-1-2): Patterson; Ballard, Batth, Cirkin; Gooch, Evans, Neil, Clarke; Pritchard; Simms, Stewart.

HOW ARE QPR SHAPING UP AHEAD OF THE GAME?

QPR head to Wearside in decent shape, having followed up their opening-day defeat at Blackburn with a 3-2 win over Middlesbrough last weekend. They exited the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, losing to Charlton Athletic on penalties after drawing 1-1 at the Valley.

Tyler Roberts made his QPR debut against Charlton after recovering from injury and could well feature in the starting line-up again this weekend.

However, Taylor Richards is set to be sidelined for up to eight weeks with a hamstring injury, Chris Willock, who scored against Boro, is also a major injury doubt, and former Sunderland loanee Jake Clarke-Salter could also miss the trip to Wearside because of a tight hamstring.

QPR (probable, 4-2-3-1): Dieng; Kakay, Dickie, Dunne, Paal; Field, Johansen; Roberts, Amos, Chair; Dykes.
