Here are all the details ahead of the game...

WHERE IS THE GAME TAKING PLACE?

Sunderland were drawn away when the first-round draw took place earlier this summer, meaning they will head to Hillsborough for Wednesday's game.

It is a rapid return to the ground, which saw Patrick Roberts' dramatic stoppage-time goal earn Sunderland a place in the League One play-off final in May.

For Sunderland fans haeding to Sheffield for the game, Hillsborough's postcode for SatNav purposes is S6 1SW.

WHAT TIME IS KICK-OFF?

Wednesday's game kicks off at 7.45pm.

ARE TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE?

Sunderland's away allocation for Wednesday's game is 3,164, but the general sale for fans concluded on Thursday, August 4.

IS THERE LIVE TV COVERAGE OR STREAMING OF THE GAME?

The first-round game has been selected for live television coverage on Sky Sports.

The match will be screened on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, with coverage, fronted by host Mark Chapman, beginning at 7pm.

Because of the live TV coverage in the UK, overseas supporters will not be able to watch a live stream of the game via an international streaming pass.

Matty Jones will be at the game for the Northern Echo, and will be providing a live blog via The Northern Echo website as well as a report, ratings and post-match reaction.

WHAT WILL SUNDERLAND'S TEAM BE?

Alex Neil is expected to make a number of changes for Sunderland's first cup game of the season.

Alex Bass is set to make his first start in goal since joining Sunderland from Portsmouth, while fellow summer signing Aji Alese should also make the starting line-up at centre-half.

Luke O'Nien, Patrick Roberts and Leon Dajaku are likely to feature in midfield after being substitutes in Saturday's 3-2 win at Bristol City, while Jack Diamond could also play despite being expected to leave on loan before the end of the month.

HOW ARE SHEFF WED SHAPING UP?

Sheffield Wednesday have made a strong start to the League One season, drawing with Portsmouth and winning at MK Dons.

Lee Gregory is available for the Owls after serving a one-match ban at the weekend, but summer signing Michael Smith may miss out again because of an injury issue.

Jack Hunt and Dominic Iorfa may feature in the back three, with Akin Famewo having picked up an injury on Saturday.
