HARTLEPOOL United have made their 14th signing of the summer as Mohamed Sylla joins on a one-year deal.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder joins the club after recently leaving National League side Aldershot Town.

He has previously played football in League Two with Oldham Athletic. After joining in 2019, Sylla made 51 appearances for the club scoring just one goal.

He then made the return to France 2020 with Laval in the second tier before returning to England with the Shots.

The signing comes just days before their first home game of the season against AFC Wimbledon where Sylla is expected to be available for selection for the game.
