NEWCASTLE United’s Premier League home tie with champions Manchester City has been moved to the following day after being selected for television coverage.

The Magpies will now welcome Pep Guardiola’s squad to St James’ Park on Sunday 21st August for a 4:30pm kick off time.

The last meeting between the two sides saw City beat Newcastle 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium back in May.

The following two fixtures have also been selected for television coverage which are their trips to Wolves and Liverpool. Their trip to Molineux has also been moved to the following day for Sunday 28th August for a 2pm kick-off while the date and time for the game at Anfield remains the same. 

After hosting Crystal Palace, they will then travel to West Ham United on Sunday 11th September for a 2pm kick-off at the London Stadium, the third match to move dates. 

Eddie Howe’s side welcome newly promoted Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the season at the beginning of August.
