Middlesbrough fans have lauded Errea’s new kit design for their away shirt next season after they got an early glimpse thanks to social media.

Boro’s new look shirt was leaked on Twitter at the start of the day prompting the club to make their announcement earlier than scheduled.

The kit features variations with blue with the darker tint being the base colour with light blue slashes across the torso. The shirt is finished off with a white trim across the collar and sleeves.

After the announcement of the home shirt was modelled by former Teesside favourite Fabrizio Ravanelli, Boro’s UEFA Cup hero Massimo Maccarone modelled the new kit as part of the announcement for Italian kit manufacturer Errea.

After ending their association with Errea after almost two decades with the club in 2011, Boro struck up their partnership this summer ending Hummel’s spell as their kit designer.
