EDDIE HOWE has admitted that Kieran Trippier is an injury doubt for Sunday's game with Aston Villa after injuring in his calf in this evening's 3-1 win over Everton.
Trippier produced a man-of-the-match display against the Toffees, winning tackles at one end and scoring with a brilliant direct free-kick at the other.
However, he limped off with what appeared to be a calf injury in the closing stages, and the England international now faces a race against time to recover ahead of Sunday's home game with Villa.
“I think Kieran’s got a slight calf issue,” admitted Howe, who saw his side climb above Norwich City into 17th position in the table.
"He motioned that he needed to come off, so we’ll have to see how that is. It would be devastating to lose him in the form he’s in.”
