DONCASTER Rovers forward Omar Bogle has completed a permanent move to Hartlepool United.

The 29-year-old signs a two-and-a-half year contract with Pools after the expiration of his contract at the League One side.

Bogle rose to prominence from Grimsby Town where he scored 32 goals in 68 appearances for the Mariners.

Permanent moves to Wigan Athletic and Cardiff City soon followed but he couldn’t recapture his Grimsby form and loan moves to Portsmouth, Birmingham City, Peterborough United and Den Haag soon followed.

He spent two months at Charlton Athletic before spending the last year in Doncaster where he made 27 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions.

He will go straight into contention for this weekend’s game away to Exeter City and will wear the number seven shirt.

He becomes Pools fourth signing of the January transfer window following the arrivals of Marcus Carver, Jake Hull and Issac Fletcher.
