Rafael Benitez has been sacked as manager of Everton
EVERTON have confirmed the dismissal of former Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez.
Benitez has been sacked in the wake of yesterday's 2-1 defeat at Norwich City, a result which leaves Everton just two places above the relegation zone.
The Spaniard's appointment at Goodison Park in the summer was a controversial one given his previous achievements as manager of Liverpool.
