HARTLEPOOL United have been drawn at home to League One side Charlton Athletic in the quarter finals of the Papa John's Trophy. 

The tie will be played on the week commencing Monday 24th January with a date to be finalised soon. 

Pools have enjoyed good run in the competition and saw off Bolton Wanderers in the round of 16 winning 1-0 thanks to Matty Daly's 84th minute goal at the Suit Direct Stadium. They are now just two wins away from a final at Wembley Stadium. 

Graeme Lee's side have had no problem against League One opposition this having already beaten Sheffiled Wednesday and Morecambe on their way to the last eight of the competition. In the FA Cup, they've secured victories againstWycombe Wanderers and Lincoln City to set up a third round tie against Championship side Blackpool this weekend. 

The Addicks currently sit 13th in the League One table and beat MK Dons 1-0 on their way to the quarter-finals.
