SUNDERLAND head coach Lee Johnson has named an unchanged side for his side's home game with Sheffield Wednesday this evening.
Carl Winchester had been described as 50-50 ahead of the game, but the Northern Irishman has not made the Black Cats squad.
As a result, Sunderland will continue with a back three, with Leon Dajaku and Lynden Gooch playing at wing-back.
Dan Neil and Elliot Embleton will play on either side of Corry Evans at the heart of midfield, with Alex Pritchard playing just off Ross Stewart, who continues to lead the line in the absence of long-term injury victim Nathan Broadhead.
Sunderland (3-5-1-1): Wright, Flanagan, Doyle; Dajaku, Neil, Evans, Embleton, Gooch; Pritchard; Stewart.
Subs: Burge, Alves, Cirkin, Younger, Hume, Harris, Kimpioka.
