CHRIS Wilder takes charge of his second Middlesbrough game this evening as Preston North End come to the Riverside Stadium.
Andraz Sporar looks to be a major doubt for the game with an ankle injury while Dael Fry and Martin Payero won’t be making a return.
As Boro’s injury troubles continue to hamper the squad, here is a predicted starting eleven for tonight’s game…
Luke Daniels
The former Brentford man like he has the number one jersey to keep. He hasn’t done an awful lot wrong since earning his place in the side.
Paddy McNair
One of the first names on the team sheet. Chris Wilder will be keen to see how the Northern Irishman adapts to the overlapping centre back routine.
Sol Bamba
You can’t blame him for his own goal at the weekend. With Dael Fry and Grant Hall still sidelined, he has a big part to play.
Lee Peltier
Chris Wilder was impressed with his senior players against Millwall and Peltier carried out his duties as an overlapping centre-half.
Onel Hernandez
He came on a made a difference in the second half adding some much needed spark. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him in from the off.
Marc Bola
Made a good return to the side and showed why he could be a huge part as Wilder’s left wing back. There will be a watchful eye kept on his fitness though.
Jonny Howson
The club captain will be an important part of Wilder’s side sitting in front of the back four. He’ll make his 200th club appearance for Boro tonight.
Matt Crooks
He and Tavernier executed the number eight roles really well and he got himself on the scoresheet. A big contender for Player of the Season so far.
Marcus Tavernier
Unlucky not to be on the scoresheet against Millwall but gives Boro some much needed energy and spark.
Josh Coburn
Although he didn’t have much influence on the game against Millwall, he’s likely to be in from the start with Andraz Sporar with an ankle injury.
Duncan Watmore
He was impressive against Millwall and gave them plenty to think about in attack. Wilder will be hoping for more of the same from him this evening.
