CHRIS WILDER will seek an urgent injury update on Andraz Sporar after the Middlesbrough striker was forced to pull out of Slovenia’s game with Cyprus today after appearing to suffer a problem during the warm-up.
Sporar had initially been expected to start his national side’s World Cup qualifier in Ljubljana, but he was withdrawn from the team shortly before kick-off.
Zan Celar took his place in the starting side, with Slovenia going on to record a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Miha Zajc and Adam Gnezda Cerin.
Sporar is due to return to England in the next 24 hours, and Wilder will be hoping he has not suffered a problem that will keep him out of Boro’s home game with Millwall on Saturday.
