SUNDERLAND will host League Two side Oldham Athletic in the last 32 of the Papa John's Trophy.
This afternoon's knockout round draw has handed the Black Cats a home game against the Latics.
Sunderland are the reigning champions in the Papa John's Trophy, having beaten Tranmere Rovers in last season's final.
Hartlepool United are also through to the last 32, but today's draw has handed them a difficult task in the first knockout stage.
Pools will head to Hillsborough in the last 32 to take on League One side Sheffield Wednesday.
The last-32 ties will be staged in the week beginning Monday, November 29.
