LEE JOHNSON has made three changes to his Sunderland side for this evening's game against Sheffield Wednesday.
Corry Evans returns to bolster a midfield that was ripped apart at Rotherham at the weekend, and is set to play alongside Luke O'Nien.
Lynden Gooch and Aiden O'Brien are also restored to the starting line-up as the Black Cats look to put their weekend horror-show behind them at Hillsborough.
Aiden McGeady drops out of the starting side as he is suspended following his dismissal at the New York Stadium.
Leon Dajku and Elliot Embleton also drop out of the line-up, with the pair both featuring on the substitutes' bench.
Nathan Broadhead is also selected amongst the replacements, having completed his recovery from injury.
SUNDERLAND (4-2-3-1): Hoffman; Winchester, Flanagan, Doyle, Cirkin; Evans, O'Nien; Gooch, Neil, O'Brien; Stewart.
Subs: Burge, Alves, Wright, Embleton, Pritchard, Dajaku, Broadhead.
