SUNDERLAND have been drawn a huge tie in the quarter final of the Carabao Cup away to Arsenal.
The Black Cats will make the trip to the Emirates on the week commencing Monday 20th December to face Mikel Arteta's side.
Lee Johnson's side are the only EFL side left in the competition and were always going to face Premier League opposition.
Sunderland last faced Arsenal in the Premier League in 2017 where they lost by two goals to nil at the Emirates.
They've beaten Port Vale, Blackpool, Wigan Athletic and Queens Park Rangers on their way to the last eight of the competition while the Gunners saw off Leeds United in the last round with a 2-0 win.
