SUNDERLAND midfielder Elliot Embleton has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for August.
Embleton has received his nomination for his goal in the Black Cats' 3-1 home win over Wycombe at the end of last month.
The midfielder played a one-two with Lynden Gooch before curling a fine strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the 18-yard box.
The other two shortlisted goals were a long-range strike from Rotherham United's Michael Smith and an overhead kick from Shrewsbury Town's Tom Bloxham.
The winner will be decided by a public vote on the EFL's official Twitter accounts, with the voting opening at midday today and closing at 5pm on Monday. The winner will be announced next Friday.
