SUNDERLAND'S match at Sheffield Wednesday at the start of next month has been postponed because of international call-ups.
The Black Cats had been due to travel to Hillsborough on Saturday, September 4.
However, the game falls during the forthcoming international break and Sunderland have had a number of players selected in their respective international squads.
Corry Evans has been named in the Northern Ireland squad, while Callum Doyle and Dennis Cirkin were both selected by England earlier today for their respective age-group teams.
A new date for the Sheffield Wednesday game will be announced in due course.
