THE Women's Championship fixtures have been announced involving both Durham Womens and Sunderland Ladies.
Sunderland Ladies are beginning their new season in the Championship after being granted promotion from the third tier while Durham are looking to mount another promotion push after finshed second last season.
The opening games of the season are played on Sunday 29th August and the Black Cats begin their campaign away to Coventry United Girls while Durham Ladies have a home tie against Watford Ladies.
Sunderland's first home game is the following weekend against Blackburn Rovers while Durham head to Sheffield United Women.
Sunderland and Durham meet each other for the first time on Sunday 5th October with the Black Cats making the trip to New Ferens Park.
The return leg at Sunderland will be the second last game of the season Championship season on 24th April 2022.
The Wearside team will finish the season the following weekend on home soil against Bristol City Women while Durham are away to Charlton Ladies.
