NEWCASTLE United have confirmed Florian Lejeune's move to Spanish side Alaves for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old French defender officially brings an end to his four-year stay on Tyneside after making 46 appearances for the club.
He moved to the club for a fee of £8.7m back in 2017 from Eibar.
His time at Newcastle was hampered by injury after suffering two anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
He spent last season on loan with Alaves making 36 appearances and has now returned to the Spanish side for a permanent move.
The fee is undisclosed but Steve Bruce told the media after their friendly defeat to York City at the weekend that the move would put 'a few quid in the coffers'.
