MIDDLESBROUGH will have representation on the board of directors at he EFL after Neil Bausor's appointment today.

Boro's Chief Executive will join Nottingham Forest chairman Nicholas Randall and Preston North End Director Peter Risdale in providing representation for Championship clubs after being voted in by the other 24 teams in the division. 

Bausor has been with the club since 2007 after first being appointed as Chief Operating Officer before his promotion to Chief Executive five years later. 

This is the first time that Bausor has represented the club and the division on the EFL Board. 

Chairman Rick Parry said: “There remain some big challenges ahead, particularly as we await the outcome of the Fan Led Review, seek fairer financial distribution across the pyramid and re-open our stadiums to supporters at the start of the domestic season in a few weeks’ time but I have no doubt that their understanding of the key issues and their knowledge of the footballing landscape will prove invaluable for the EFL at this time.”

Bausor will be alongside Parry, FL Chief Executive, Trevor Birch, Senior Independent non-executive director, Debbie Jevans CBE, and Independent non-executive director, Simon Bazelgette on the board of directors.
