Over the years, The Northern Echo has prided itself on putting their audiences right at the heart of our reporting.

That's why as part of a digital initiative series we're are taking on, we've launched the Sunderland Football Club Echo Chamber.

The Echo Chamber is an interactive community group on Facebook where we keep you informed with the very latest at your club with news on transfers, fixtures, rumours, players, and everything else at the club from top to bottom.

Along with that, it's a safe space to get in touch with your memories and nostalgia, get stuff off your chest about your team and have some fun with fellow members. We'd love to hear about your memories and stories of the Black Cats. Whether it's someone who's not missed a home game for 50 years or your favourite game you've attended. We want to read about it.

There'll be plenty of content to get stuck into whether it's featured articles, videos where we discuss the latest comings and goings or a blast from the past so stay tuned.

As part of new digital initiative series, we've already launched the MFC Echo Chamber for Middlesbrough fans where hundreds of people have joined the group within the first month and have shared plenty of tales and nostalgia form the years gone by and given us their thoughts on the teams current state of play.

As we say, this is the first part of a digital intiative series meaning we will be launching pages for our Newcastle United, Hartlepool United and Darlington audiences so keep an eye out for them in the weeks to come.

The group will have myself, Matty Jones and fellow writer Scott Wilson running the pages and we're excited to hear from you.

Whilst we want you to keep informed, enjoy the content and have a bit of craic on there, keep it clean. Online abuse has become a big problem over recent years and this won't be one of those environments that gets littered with abuse. Anyone who steps out of line will be removed.

If you want to join the group, then it's really simple to find. Head over to Facebook and search for 'SAFC Echo Chamber' and click 'Join' to be a part of it. Or you can head to www.facebook.com/groups/safcechochamber and you can find us there.

We hope you enjoy the group and become part of our storytelling.

Up The Echo Chamber!
