HARTLEPOOL United reach the National League play-off finals with a hard fought win over Stockport County.

Rhys Oates fired the decisive effort at Edgeley Park as Pools won by a goal to nil.

How did the players fare in that huge win in Cheshire...

8 - Brad James - In a huge game at Edgeley Park, James was up to the occasion. He denied Richie Bennett from point blank range at the death in what was a vital save.

7 - Jamie Sterry - He was key in defence today. Marshalled the right hand side and kept things quiet. Only let in one or two key crosses for Stockport.

8 - Gary Liddle - A calming presence at the back whihc was exactly what Pools needed today. Won some crucial challenges and played some key

9 - Timi Odusina - Stepped in for the absent Cass and did very well. Dave Challinor says it was his best game in a Pools shirt.

7 - Ryan Johnson - Did what was required and was aerially dominant throughout the game.

7 - David Ferguson - Up and down the left hand side. His role in defence was more important than it was going forward in this game.

8 - Mark Shelton - Full of energy and put it in right until the end. Big shouts for a penalty for a challenge on him and he found himself in great positons.

7 - Nicky Featherstone - Kept things ticking over in midfield and was that calming presence that is so vital to Pools.

7 - Gavan Holohan - A quiet day for him but he worked hard and battled away in the middle of the park.

7 - Luke Armstrong - Not too many chances but his graft up front was important to a massive win for the club.

9 - Rhys Oates - What else can you say about this man! Popped up at the vital moment to score the winner with a trademark run and strike.

Man of the match: Rhys Oates (for the winner), Timi Odusina gets a special mention.
