SUNDERLAND will kick off their pre-season schedule with a trip to National League North side Spennymoor Town.
The Black Cats’ senior squad will visit the Brewery Field on Saturday, July 3 (3pm) to play their first game since losing out to Lincoln City in the play-off semi-final at the Stadium of Light.
Lee Johnson’s side will only just have returned to pre-season training, but with the club’s summer rebuilding now well under way, it is hoped there will be some new faces on display by the time they travel to Spennymoor.
Moors’ Brewery Field ground was in the spotlight earlier today as the Austrian national side used it to host a pre-match training session ahead of this evening's international friendly with England at Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium.
