Cain Sykes and Max Metcalfe are the latest youngsters to sign a professional contract with Middlesbrough.

18-year-old Sykes has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal.

Sykes joined the club as an under 9 player and has played throughout the youth system. He's been a regular for the Under 23's side making 30 Premier League 2 appearances and scoring three goals.

He was in the matchday squad for Boro's FA Cup defeat to Brentford in Janaury.

18-year-old Metcalfe has made 11 appearances for Boro's Under 18's this season and kept four clean sheets.

The pair follow in the footsteps off Isiah Cornet, Jack Robinson and Josh Wells in signing professional deals for the club since the end of the season.
