Steve Bruce capped off a great week in charge at Newcastle after being awarded the Premier League Manager of the Month award for April.
Newcastle United were unbeaten in four games last month with two wins against West Ham and Burnley and two draws against Tottenham and Brighton.
The results represented a huge stride towards Premier League safety as the Magpies eventually secured their top flight status on Monday night after Fulham's defeat to Burnley.
Bruce beat Marcelo Bielsa of Leeds United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Manchester United and Sam Allardyce of West Bromwich Albion to the award.
Bruce told the club website "For me to win is a reflection on the players and my staff. They work tirelessly, and without them there's no award to win.
"I'm delighted, and I want to thank them sincerely."
It's the first time Bruce has won the award whilst being in the dugout at St James' Park.
Newcastle return to action later this evening where they host Premier League champions Manchester City.
