Fans have snapped up all available tickets for Sunderland's play off semi final second leg against Lincoln City.

Around 10,000 fans will be in attendance for the Black Cats home tie against the Imps on Saturday 22nd May.

Tickets were only available for season card holders for this season and next season.

It seems that fans have jumped at the earliest opportunity to watch their side as Lee Johnson's side fight for promotion to the Championship at the third time of asking.

The away leg will be at Sincil Bank on Wednesday 19th May.

Sunderland ended the season in 4th place in the League One table with the campaign ending on a slight sour note with just one win in their last nine games.

However, they've faired well against Lincoln City in their previous five meetings, winning three, drawing one and losing one.

The bookmakers make Sunderland slight favourites to emerge triumphant from the four play-off hopefuls, although there is very little to choose between any of the teams, who were separated by just six points.

Lincoln finished level on points with the Black Cats, and two of the three matches between the sides this season finished in a draw.
