AIDEN McGEADY will return to the Sunderland squad for tomorrow's home game with Wigan Athletic.
McGeady was frozen out of the first-team picture entirely under former Black Cats boss Phil Parkinson, who forced the Republic of Ireland international to train with the Under-23s.
However, with Parkinson's dismissal having left first-team coach Andrew Taylor in charge for tomorrow's game with the Latics, McGeady will feature in the senior squad for the first time this season.
The winger appeared for Sunderland's Under-23s at the end of last month, and is match fit after successfully recovering from a calf problem.
