NEWCASTLE UNITED'S Carabao Cup quarter-final game at Brentford will be played on Tuesday, December 22.
The match, which will be staged behind-closed-doors, will kick off at 5.30pm and will be televised live on Sky Sports.
It will be the Magpies' first visit to Brentford's new 17,250-capacity Brentford Community Stadium, less than a mile away from their former Griffin Park home. It will also be the Bees' first League Cup quarter-final.
Newcastle booked their place in the last eight with a penalty shoot-out victory at Newport County in September, after a 1-1 draw in normal time at Rodney Parade. Steve Bruce's men have also beaten Blackburn Rovers (1-0) and Morecambe (7-0) in this season's competition.
The Magpies have met Brentford once before the League Cup. A second-round tie at St. James' Park in September 2001 ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, before Craig Bellamy scored a hat-trick in extra time to secure a 4-1 win.
