MIDDLESBROUGH have completed the loan signing of Marcus Bettinelli.
The goalkeeper has agreed a season-longa switch from Fulham, and having worked hard to push through his registration this morning, Boro officials are hopeful he will able to make his debut in tomorrow night's Championship season-opener at Watford.
The 28-year-old is Boro’s second signing of what has proved a difficult transfer window, with a number of other prospective moves having fallen through.
Boro boss Neil Warnock said: “I’ve always liked Marcus. He’s always been high on my list. When I was at Cardiff, he got in the team and had a great season.
“The opportunity came, and it was just too good to turn down really. I felt that we needed another top-class keeper and it’s been great to get him on board.”
Bettinelli is a double promotion winner with Fulham, and boasts a large amount of experience, having clocked up more than 200 senior career appearances.
