GARY LIDDLE will stay at Hartlepool United for the remainder of the season.
The centre-half moved to Pools on loan from Walsall in December and has made eight appearances.
Pools boss Dave Challinor hinted last weekend that a deal was in place to keep Liddle at the club until May, and both Pools and the Saddlers have now confirmed it.
The deal will take Liddle beyond the 300-appearance mark for the club – after his first spell lasted from 2006-2012. Saturday’s game at Barnet will be his 293rd outing, putting him level with Chris Westwood on the club’s all-time list.
Liddle signed for Walsall in the summer after his release from Carlisle United, and there’s every chance he will stay at Pools beyond this season.
Tyler Hamilton has returned to Hull City after being recalled from his loan spell at Pools.
