MIDDLESBROUGH have completed some notable business ahead of the reopening of the transfer window with youngster Hayden Coulson having agreed a new deal.
Coulson, who has made quite an impression since breaking into the first team at the start of the season, has penned a new contract to 2023.
The Gateshead-born left-back joined Boro's academy at the age of 13, and has represented England at various youth levels.
He had loan spells at St Mirren and Cambridge, and made his senior Boro debut at Luton Town on the opening weekend of the season.
“I’ve always had a lot of belief in Hayden, he did really well in pre-season and has taken his chance with the first team,” said Boro head coach Jonathan Woodgate. "He’s an example to the young players in our academy and we believe he has a great future at this football club."
