JOELINTON returns to the Newcastle United team for this afternoon's Premier League home game against Southampton.
The Brazilian striker replaces Andy Carroll in the only change to the side that started Thursday's 2-0 win at Sheffield United.
Carroll drops to the bench, with Allan Saint-Maximin having been passed fit to start despite injuring his ankle at Bramall Lane.
Saint-Maximin starts with Miguel Almiron behind Joelinton, with Jonjo Shelvey once again partnering Isaac Hayden in central midfield.
Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has named an unchanged starting side with Danny Ings partnering Shane Long in attack.
