DARLINGTON will travel to Leamington in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup after the Warwickshire club squeezed past Chasetown in a replay this evening.

Leamington, who are also in the National League North, had ex-Quaker Joe Clarke sent off but won 2-1 after extra-time.

The 90 minutes finished 1-1 with Chasetown having a men sent off late on, Leamington then levelling in the fifth minute of added on time.

And they got the winner with two minutes to go in extra-time to avoid an upset against a club two divisions below them.

Darlington will travel to Leamington on Saturday, October 5.

In their league meetings over the past two seasons they have drawn three times with Quakers winning once, when Stephen Thompson scored a hat-trick during a 3-2 win in January 2018.

The winners receive £11,250, while the losers pocket £3,750.

Darlington defeated Trafford 3-1 on Saturday to record the club’s first win in the FA Cup since 2014.
