Albion prospect Alexis Mac Allister has received a first call-up for the Argentina senior squad.
The attacker on loan to Boca Juniors was included in the party named by Lionel Scaloni for their next fixtures.
Argentina are heading to the USA to play friendlies next month against Mexico (September 5, Los Angeles) and Chile (September 10, San Antonio).
Mac Allister, who signed for Albion in January, has made a big impression with Boca after his loan allegiance was switched from Argentinos Juniors.
He hit a spectacular winner in their Copa Libertadores win away to Athletico Paranaense in Brazil.
Some members of the Argentinian media had been predicting he would receive a call for the USA trip, for which Scaloni will not have a full strength squad.
Lionel Messi, who is serving a three-month ban, and Sergio Aguero, rested, are not among the party heading to the States.
Scaloni’s options will include Juventus star Paulo Dybala and Premier League trio Roberto Pereyra (Watford), Gio Lo Celso (Spurs) and Manuel Lanzini (West Ham).
Mac Allister was on the bench last night as Boca played Aldosivi in the league.
