SPENNYMOOR TOWN’S home fixture with Boston United scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed.

Moors had requested that their first four league games to be played away as they complete work on their Brewery Field ground.

However, it is understood that National League North officials would not permit the fixture to be switched to York Street.

A new date is yet to be announced and Town say: “More information on the reasons behind the postponement will be communicated in due course.”

Town were due to play Blyth Spartans at home tonight, but that was postponed some time ago due to work at the Brewery Field which also meant no home pre-season friendlies this summer.
