SPENNYMOOR have been handed an away trip to Hereford on the opening day of the new National League North season.

And then that will be followed by a first home fixture against Lee Clark’s Blyth Spartans following Alun Armstrong’s departure to Darlington.

There will be a September trip to Gateshead before Spennymoor head to Blackwell Meadows to face Darlington on Boxing Day. The return at the Brewery Field is six days later, with Gateshead in between.

Spennymoor will visit York City on Easter Monday before the season is concluded with a trip to title hopefuls Chester.
