FORGOTTEN men Martin Braithwaite and Marvin Johnson will be in Austria with the rest of the Middlesbrough squad.

Boro have confirmed the squad they are taking on the pre-season camp for Jonathan Woodgate’s first summer in charge.

And Braithwaite, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Leganes, and Johnson, who was on loan at Sheffield United, will both be travelling and have the chance to discuss their futures and impress.

Both players are expected to be available if the right offers come along before the start of the season, although Woodgate is sure to want to consider all of his selection options before deciding who to let go.

Braithwaite will join his Middlesbrough team-mates on Monday and then Darren Randolph, Paddy McNair and George Saville will join the rest of the party this weekend. Midfielder Jonny Howson will miss the trip as his partner is due to give birth.

There will also be no Dael Fry nor Ste Walker who will stay behind for treatment on injuries, as Woodgate includes numerous youth talents to run the rule over.

Boro's first friendly is on Friday, July 5, when they take on Grazer AK.
