STRIKER Gime Toure has signed for Hartlepool United.

The Frenchman, 25, played for AFC Fylde last season, before moving to Sutton United for the second half of the campaign, scoring seven times in 41 games – including one against Pools.

Pools are back for pre-season training on Monday and Toure will join his new team-mates at the club’s East Durham College base.

He is Craig Hignett’s second striker signing after Nicke Kabamba turned his loan deal into a permanent transfer.

“After speaking to the manager and seeing the club I wanted to be here,’’ he told the club website. “I played in this division last season and I know it well.

“When I saw the set-up and the training ground, I love everything here.’’
