LEWIS WING is a major doubt for Middlesbrough’s televised clash with Championship leaders Norwich City tomorrow as he is struggling with a groin problem.

Boro host Norwich in the tea-time kick-off looking to get back to winning ways after a run of four games without a victory, but Wing’s participation is in doubt after he spent most of the international break nursing his groin.

Boro boss Tony Pulis said: “Injury wise, we’re a little bit concerned about Lewis, we’re not sure he’s going to be 100 per cent fit.

“Lewis has been carrying a groin injury for the last few weeks, and it’s still hanging around. We’ve got to be a little bit careful with that one, and that decision won’t be made until after training today.”

Pulis will also have to decide whether to start any of his international players, with Darren Randolph, Mo Besic, George Saville and Paddy McNair all having made two appearances for their respective countries during the recent break.

Randolph will start tomorrow, but Besic and Saville will be closely assessed in training today before Pulis makes a final call on their involvement.

He said: “The international lads have come back. Mo and Sav were the two outfield players that played two games, along with Paddy. We’ll assess them.

“They worked with the medical people yesterday and didn’t join in with us, so we’ll see what they’re like coming back.”
