LUKE WILLIAMS and Carl Magnay are on track with their recovery to be back shortly for Hartlepool United.

Both have been out of action with knee injuries, Williams yet to play for Pools since signing in August, with Magnay missing the last month.

But the pair are stepping up their training and, while tomorrow’s game at Barnet is too soon, they will soon be back in full training.

“It’s a full squad really, Luke (Williams) is back in and his training programme has increased. We have decisions to make.

“Mags is in the gym, Luke is stepping up his recovery, back on the grass and with the ball so in a week or so be back full training.

“Both are coming along nicely.’’

Irish midfielder Gavan Holohan will be available tomorrow after international clearance finally arrived and McNamee said: “We have options in the squad, Gavan is available after his clearance came through. He’s trained each day and trained well. It’s a bit of an uncontrollable thing waiting for clearance and he comes into the plans this weekend.

“We always want a full squad and some lads will be disappointed to miss out. Their attitude is good.’’

David Edgar will miss next weekend’s game with Wrexham after being called into to the Canada squad, while fellow defender Aaron Cunningham should be fit to return for that match at the Super 6 Stadium.

Pools lost at Fylde in midweek and McNamee said: “We’ve not started the last few games well and had to come from behind. But then we’ve showed character to come back into games.

“Hopefully our football will come through and we have played some good football the last few games – quite attacking.

“We’ve conceded early goals and it’s frustrating and we work on it in training. The first goal we conceded on Tuesday we had spoke a lot about Rowe and how he shoots on sight. The first goal was strange as we had gone through it in detail and should not have allowed him to do it.’’
