SPENNYMOOR TOWN’S home game with Bradford Park Avenue this evening has been postponed.
After Saturday’s home game with Chorley was washed out with the Brewery Ground pitch saturated, the surface was covered overnight in the hope of protecting it from further rainfall.
However, some areas of the pitch which were waterlogged at the weekend have not drained and an early afternoon inspection was called before the visitors set off.
Before the decision, boss Jason Ainsley said: “We need to play tonight’s game, because we don’t want to fall too far behind with our fixtures. It’s not an ideal situation.’’
Moors are third in the table, six points behind Stockport and seven behind Chorley, with two games in hand. They are at Kidderminster on Saturday.
