SUNDERLAND (4-2-3-1):
6 McLaughlin: Despite plenty of Wycombe pressure he didn’t have too much to do;
6 Matthews: Pushed on when he could down the right hand side and defended reasonably well
6 Baldwin: Got caught a couple of times in possession but still defended well
7 Flanagan: A fine display at the back after deciding to return rather than play for his country
6 James: Tried to get down the line and involved plenty but unable to deliver the final ball;
7 Honeyman: Had not been too influential until he created the equaliser
5 McGeouch: Played things simply when he had the chance but didn’t make things happen;
6 Gooch: Started brightly and faded, which led to him being frustrated with his team-mates
6 Maguire: Tried a few things to make things happen without being able to
7 McGEADY: Stood out with his ability on the ball even if he wasted his one great chance;
5 Sinclair: Did what he could to hold up play but never looked threatening enough in the final third.
Subs
