Spennymoor are looking to stretch their unbeaten run to five matches at home to lowly Nuneaton Borough on Saturday.

Moors have climbed impressively up the table in recent weeks, and with ten points from the last twelve, are now just two points below the play-off spots.

But manager Jason Ainsley has warned everyone about taking their second bottom opponents for granted.

“Nuneaton have picked up recently, they won away at Curzon Ashton in their last game,” he said.

“They didn’t play last Saturday, because they had three players away on international duty - -so as a team they must be some good if they’ve had three players away for an occasion like that.

“Their manager was also at our game at Leamington last week, so they’ve been doing their homework.

“I think the league is all over the place, it’s a tough, tough league and is all over the place.”

Moors produced some very good football in their last home game against FC United which they won 2-0.

“We must try and replicate our performance from that day. We won 2-0 and created loads of chances, without really allowing FC United much of a look in.

“Ironically, I think we’ve been playing better football at home this season, but not picking up the points that we have deserved. Now, we must keep our momentum going, and keep collecting points.

“But we must bear in mind that Nuneaton are no mugs.”

Midfielder Ryan Hall and defender Rob Atkinson are both expected to be fit, which means that Ainsley should have a full squad to choose from.

Nuneaton trio Luther Wildin, Kairo Mitchell and Ryan Johnson were all on duty with Antigua, Grenada and Northern Ireland respectively, and all should be back in the visiting team.

Nuneaton have won just once this season, which was away to Curzon Ashton in their last outing.

In the EvoStik League, South Shields , who went top in midweek are at Matlock, while Whitby, who are in fourth, are at Nantwich.

In the EvoStik League East, Marske, who are top on goal difference, make the long journey down to Wisbech, while Morpeth have an equally long journey down the A1 to Stamford.
