Stephen Findley, from Durham
Who or what inspired you to take up photography?
IT was so I could capture priceless memories for myself, family, friends and everyone who wants to treasure that special moment in time forever. There’s nothing better than seeing people smile at memories that they relive through my photos.
Your first camera?
A SONY cybershot DSC-W55, then I went to Canon 1100 D before jumping to my trusty 5D mk 3.
What do you most enjoy photographing, and why?
I LOVE all aspects of photography. Every time I go out with the camera it offers something different to capture. The landscapes around us are always changing, people are getting older, like an adrenaline junkie I’m always chasing the thrill to get a buzz and excitement of capturing that perfect photo.
Your favourite picture
IT’S hard to choose a favourite as each time I pick up the camera you never know what you will capture so it’s best to see what happens.
Your go-to kit at the moment?
MY Canon 5D MK3 with 24-105mm lens
Do you spend much time in post-production and what software do you use?
I TRY to do as little tweaking to my photos as possible so that they can stay true to the image I saw with my own eyes. Too much tweaking and you take away the essence of the original image and lose the story.
