I WAS shocked to read the report (Echo, Jan 29) of a man found guilty of assault days after being found guilty of discharging a firearm into a school classroom full of children.
How on earth was he only given a suspended sentence for such a thing?
What kind of explanation would the judge have given the parents had the firearm been a more powerful weapon?
