ANDY BRAMFITT has a very good point when he suggests dogs should be licensed again (HAS, Jan 24).
Such an idea comes at a time when Darlington Borough Council (DBC) could do with some extra income.
DBC presumably has to pay for dog waste bins, the cost of emptying them and the dog warden service. Why shouldn’t the cost be passed on?
A similar recouping of costs could be achieved by taxing caravans, where the cost is in the traffic delays, let alone the accidents, caused.
